The art of returning to your body

The 3 signs your body is ready to be part of the process

You may have already been doing the work — attending therapy, reflecting, and trying to make sense of your experiences — yet something still feels like it’s missing.

You might have heard about somatic or body-based approaches, or been encouraged to “try yoga,” but found yourself unsure what that actually means, or whether it’s right for you.

Perhaps you’ve noticed moments where your mind feels busy or overwhelmed, while your body feels heavy, distant, or difficult to connect with.

If any part of this feels familiar, you’re not alone.

There are many approaches, many practices, and not always clear guidance about where to begin.

This 3-day exploration offers a place to begin — supporting you to reconnect with your body in a way that is trauma-aware, and honours your pace and your capacity.

We’re often taught that healing means finding the right method and applying it correctly.

But body-based healing sometimes begins somewhere much simpler.

It begins with curiosity.

Noticing your breath.
Noticing your nervous system.
Noticing what feels supportive or overwhelming.

From this place of awareness, your body can begin to guide the process rather than being pushed through it.

This is where the 3 signs become important… signs that your body may be ready to become part of the healing process.

Let's Be Curious Together

Across these three days, you’ll be invited to explore the three common signs many people notice when their body may be ready to be included in the healing process:

  • Persistent anxiety that continues even after insight and understanding
  • Being encouraged to explore somatic therapy but feeling unsure where to begin
  • Experiencing a disconnect between the mind and the body

Each day includes:

  • A Mind Catcher - A short teaching to help you understand your nervous system and your body’s responses

  • Body Minutes - A short, trauma-aware practice to explore at your own pace

  • Echo Time - Reflection prompts to support awareness and integration

  • Creating Rhythms - Suggestions for bringing these insights into your everyday life

We recommend allowing around 20 minutes each day for this exploration. You’re invited to move through the sessions in a way that suits you best.

While many people choose to complete this over three consecutive days, this is ultimately about finding what works for you. If you need to pause or take a day in between, you’re encouraged to take the time you need.

The goal isn’t to change everything in three days.

It’s to help you gain clarity, awareness, and confidence about whether a body-based approach could support the next stage of your healing journey.

Sometimes readiness looks like curiosity,

not certainty

  • Understanding what your body may need to begin feeling safe
  • Exploring how Yoga Therapy differs from general yoga classes

Day 2  — Understanding what your body needs to feel safe

  • Understanding why safety is experienced through the body, not just the mind
  • Exploring how a felt sense of safety supports clarity and steadiness
  • Introduction to working with the vagus nerve to support regulation
  • Exploring the Koshas as a whole-person framework (body, breath, mind, wisdom, spirit)
  • Understanding how body-based awareness supports a more integrated healing process

    Benefit for you

You begin discovering how to support your nervous system instead of fighting against it.

Day 3 — Recognising patterns between mind and body

  • Exploring what it means when the mind and body feel out of sync
  • Recognising common nervous system patterns through the breath
  • Understanding how different breath patterns reflect different states
  • Exploring simple ways to work with the breath based on what you’re experiencing
  • Beginning to notice what feels accessible and supportive for you

Benefit for you

You begin learning how to work with your breath and nervous system rather than feeling disconnected from them.

"Working with Kendra is feeling guided by your hand with an invisible string of love and compassion. There's so much room for self awareness and mindfulness of your own body."

Jolanta

"In a "secret" way it connects body and mind and does special things to my soul...it is a quiet action, but very powerful one. It balances my energy and elevates it to a healthy level. It helps me to focus."

Cassandra

"The trauma informed approach most benefited me in being able to move away from the stories and analysis and to just let my body do it's thing.

The world definately needs more of this."

Experience Matters

This course is guided by Kendra Boone, a trauma-sensitive yoga therapist with more than 35 years of experience supporting people living with trauma, anxiety, chronic stress, and nervous system dysregulation.

Her work brings together:

  • Trauma Center Trauma-Sensitive Yoga (TCTSY)
  • Yoga Therapy principles
  • Nervous system science
  • Compassionate, choice-led somatic practices

All shared in a way that respects each person’s pace, autonomy, and lived experience.

Welcome, I'm Kendra

I’m an embodied trauma care facilitator devoted to supporting you in reconnecting with the deeper intelligence of your body.

If you’re living with PTSD, complex trauma, chronic pain, anxiety, depression, stress, ADHD, or autism, you may already sense that healing isn’t just about insight — it’s about relationship. Especially the relationship you have with your own body.

Through trauma-informed healing arts, I guide you back toward coherence — where meaning begins to return, where your inner world feels less fragmented, and where genuine connection with others becomes possible again.

Because at a certain point in healing, your body is not the problem — it’s the doorway.

If something in you is curious about what that doorway might open into, you’re in the right place.

This course may feel supportive for you if…

  • You’re noticing a sense of disconnection from your body, and feel curious about where to begin
  • You’ve been engaging in therapy and sense there may be value in including the body
  • You’ve heard about somatic or trauma-informed approaches, but aren’t sure how they apply to you
  • You’re looking for guidance that respects your pace and your individual experience
  • You want to explore healing in a way that feels manageable and supportive
  • You’ve found that some environments (e.g. gyms, studios, or clinical settings) don’t always feel aligned or accessible

If any of this feels familiar, this exploration may be a place to begin.

There’s no need to have all the answers.

Only a sense of curiosity, and a willingness to begin reconnecting — with support.

You’re invited to join this 3-day, trauma-aware exploration.

A space to begin including your body as part of your healing process.
